Empowering Nigerian Youth: From Complaints to Constructive Action

Choose One Problem and Work Towards Its Solution

In our daily lives, we encounter countless challenges. But instead of feeling overwhelmed, let’s start by choosing one specific issue and committing to finding a solution.

Nigerian Youth and the Impact of Negative Influencers 👂
Our generation often falls into the trap of endlessly criticizing our leaders and hoping they’ll resolve all our problems. But real change begins with each of us. Rather than spending time listing our country’s challenges or complaining without action, let’s each take the initiative to address one issue within our reach.

Social media, while a powerful tool, is often used to broadcast our problems without adding value. Documenting issues online has its place, but it won’t lead to progress. Many people seek entertainment rather than solutions. Instead, let’s redirect some of that energy toward tackling the real problems affecting our lives and communities.

For instance, while we hear constant complaints about unemployment and economic difficulties, it’s important to remember that we are the backbone of the economy. By investing in learning new skills, we can contribute meaningfully and shape a brighter future for ourselves and our country.

A great example of someone who has successfully tackled societal challenges is Engr. Mustapha Habu, founder of Engausa Global Tech Hub. Through Engausa, he has addressed numerous barriers in our society, using digital skills training delivered in the mother tongue to empower Nigerians. This approach has enabled many to overcome obstacles and find sustainable solutions to everyday problems.

ENGAUSA: Breaking Barriers and Bridging Gaps
Engausa is more than a skills development hub it’s a movement breaking down educational and economic barriers. Its inclusive programs are designed to empower marginalized groups such as school dropouts, women, people with disabilities, and residents of remote areas.

Take, for example, the story of the Almajiris from TSANGAYA, a Qur’anic school in Rijiyar Zaki near Engausa’s branch office. Through Engausa’s skills acquisition programs taught in the local Hausa language these young men, once perceived as beggars, have transformed into employers of labor within just a few years. This transformation was made possible by the accessibility and affordability of Engausa’s programs, which break away from traditional educational limitations by offering training in familiar languages.

Engausa demonstrates that by providing practical skills in a relatable format, we can create pathways for individuals previously excluded from formal education to thrive and contribute positively to society.
