The ENGAUSA HUB recently held its highly anticipated graduation ceremony for 326 apprentices and trainees of the 2nd quarter of the year 2024, celebrating the accomplishments of its latest cohort of graduates. The event, themed “Unlocking Potentials: Mentoring for Success in Skills Acquisition and Career Development,” was a testament to the hard work and dedication of the students and the unwavering support of the mentors and staff.
Welcome Address and Keynote Speech
The ceremony, fully funded by ENGAUSA SKILLS DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION (ESDF), commenced with a warm welcome address by the General Manager of ENGAUSA HUB, setting the tone for an inspiring and motivational event. This was followed by an insightful keynote speech from the Founder, Engr. Mustapha Habu Ringim. Engr. Mustapha delved deeply into the theme of the program, offering invaluable career advice to the graduates. He emphasized the importance of determination, enthusiasm, and resilience in their chosen careers. Moreover, he encouraged the graduates to remain loyal to their career mentors, regardless of their academic background, and to begin practicing the skills they acquired at ENGAUSA HUB immediately.

One of the highlights of the ceremony was the testimonial speeches from successful alumni of ENGAUSA HUB. These alumni, many of whom are now employers in their respective communities, shared their inspiring journeys. Among them were university lecturers, directors in public organizations, pensioners, individuals living with disabilities, and even teenage kids. The ceremony also featured heartfelt testimonials from the parents of ENGAUSA CATCH THEM YOUNG participants. These parents shared their positive experiences and the significant impact of the digital skills acquired by their children during holiday periods. A particularly moving account was given by Engr. Rabiu, a professional engineer, who spoke about how his son Muhammad’s curiosity and creativity were sparked by his training at ENGAUSA HUB. Muhammad’s newfound interest in technology led him to suggest innovative solutions at his father’s construction site and convinced his father to purchase an Arduino kit for further practice.
Exhibition of Innovative Devices
The ceremony included an exhibition of locally made innovative devices produced in the ENGAUSA FABLAB. Among the showcased items were models of a Smart Home, access control systems, power banks, and rechargeable lamps. These projects highlighted the practical application of the skills taught at ENGAUSA HUB and demonstrated the graduates’ ability to create impactful technological solutions.
